He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board, leveraging his extensive background to guide corporate strategy and governance. Previously, Richard was the President and CEO of Wood Resources LLC, a leading plywood producer with four mills, over 700 employees, and annual revenues exceeding $200 million. He also held the position of Business Director at Louisiana Pacific Corporation, managing their engineered wood division which included five plywood mills and four LVL and I-Joist facilities. His career also includes twenty years with International Paper Company, where he concluded his tenure as Vice President of Western Timberlands LLC.
Tom Scott, President, CEO & Director
Tom is an accomplished leader with over forty years of experience in the forest products industry, holding multiple degrees including a BS in Mechanical Engineering, an MS in Industrial Engineering, and a BS in Forestry. He currently serves as the CEO and owner of Lewis & Clark Machinery Inc., a company specializing in plywood and sawmill equipment since its inception in 2004. Previously, Tom was the President of Tecton Laminates Corp., the world’s largest LVL facility until it was acquired by Louisiana Pacific. Under his leadership, Tecton Laminates Corp. achieved significant milestones in manufacturing and sales, managing an annual revenue of $60 million in engineered wood products. Tom has also held significant roles at Globe Machine Manufacturing and was a plywood business Manufacturing Manager for Louisiana Pacific, showcasing his extensive expertise in managing complex industrial operations within the sector.
Marc Cernovitch, Director
Marc is a seasoned expert in corporate development, finance, and governance, with a strong focus on the natural resources sector. Marc studied Economics at McGill University, and has dedicated his career to building and funding companies, providing key advisory services to businesses across both public and private sectors for over 30 years. Marc has held key roles in both domestic and international markets, helping companies grow their revenue and expand their market presence. His expertise includes overseeing sales operations, developing strategic partnerships, and managing large teams to achieve business objectives. His extensive experience in capital markets has made him a trusted advisor and director for numerous small and mid-cap companies, particularly in guiding them through financing and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions. Marc’s expertise and leadership have been instrumental in driving growth and success in the companies he has worked with.
Eric Larsen, Director
Eric is a seasoned finance executive with over thirty years in the forest products industry, focusing on sectors like forestry, plywood, lumber, and paper mill operations. He notably served as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Controller, Secretary, and Treasurer at Wood Resources LLC from 2005 to 2014, overseeing all financial operations. Eric also held the role of CFO and Mill Manager at REWP from 2014 to 2021, where he directed financial and operational strategies. Prior to his leadership roles, he managed Market Development and International Sales at Olympic Panel Products LLC, and held significant roles in business development and financial planning at Simpson Investment Company. His extensive experience has made him a key figure in financial strategy within the industry.
Terry Evans, Vice President
Terry brings over thirty-five years of sales and management experience in the wood products industry, spanning retail, distribution, and manufacturing operations. He spent twenty-four years as Director of Sales in hardwood plywood manufacturing, working with companies such as Longlac, Nova Wood (now Columbia), and True North Hardwood Plywood. Additionally, Terry served as Eastern Sales Manager for Goodfellow Inc. for ten years, where he played a key role in developing the U.S. Industrial Sales Department, growing it to over $50 million in annual revenue. He also previously held the position of Vice President at Blackstone Sales Inc., a sales agency that represented various MDF, PBC, and hardwood plywood manufacturers across Canada and the United States.
